Bento #10

Back Bento contains Cha Soba which I cooked last night. You can see a blob of Wasabi on the top right.
You will notice - no sesame seeds, no chives - Daughter number 1 don't like, and no quail egg due to 'logistics' of transporting raw egg. Daughter number 2 is okay but I don't want to get into a habit of packing two different types of Bento.
Front Bento contains blanched Asparagus, potato salad and a Japanese rice cracker.
Extreme left the the frozen Cha Soba dip. It will defrost but remain cold by break time.

The two Bentos packed in modern insulated Furoshiki.

I asked Daughter number 1 your question when she got back from tuition.

She said that break time is like a spectacle, her friends surround her to see what's in her Bento. Oh my goodness, I didn't know it was that 'interesting'!

She was looking kinda smug about it as though she's enjoying the attention. Hmmmm...she finished up quoting from Forrest Grump : "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
Mum, the Bento is like that lah!

I want to cook them nutritious food but they can get real fussy.

In bento packing, there is a guideline of colors and portions. My hands are tied because 70% of the red /orange colors like squash, adzuki beans, red bell peppers, etc DN1 doesn't eat!

70% of greens also don't eat.
70% of blacks also don't eat e.g. mushrooms, seaweeds, black sesame seeds, eggplant, etc, etc.
