Yesterday was a long day and I had very little time to do any planning.
I decided past midnight last night that I would pack a quick and simple bento box today.
#2 is going to the library today but still requested for her bento box.
Top box: Tuna dip (tuna, chopped onions, mayo, mustard, gerkins), a box of raisins, garlic bread crisps.
Bottom box: A 'friendly' egg with a bottle of shoyu. Baked a full proof banana cake yesterday so added to the box. Popped some pop corn this morning for a change.

Oh ya, wanted to ask what we can and cannot pack. Like whether the food is safe if it is not refrigerated (eg. I worry food containing mayo may go bad)and would the food taste nice when it has cooled down (some fried stuff may taste nice when hot but not so palatable when it is cold).
That's why I think packing Jap food is easier as they can be eaten at room temp! So far have been packing only sandwiches. Still have a lot to learn about bento lunches! :) Thanks for your help.
u use marker pen to dot on the egg ? =.="
ka..t: will post something up on this soon. Come back again ok?
ling: Hahaha!! You are so cute~sound like #1. I used two black sesame seeds.
Bento Pet .... Hi! I was away from your blog for only a few days and have much drooling to catch up on! Love anything with redbeans. :) What is a full-proof banana cake??
sesame seeds!!
why din i think of that... stupid me ~
rita: Hehehe! Full-proof banana cake means 'cannot fail no matter what happens"! This recipe was given to me by my friend Deanna.
It's an easy recipe and instead of bananas, prunes can also be used. Sometimes in the prune cake recipe, I add some tea and it's also very nice - that's for me and my friends when I have guests'. My kids, they prefer the banana cake.
ling: No lah not stupid. I admire the way you go restaurant hopping and eating the way you do. If I do that too often I may look like "Tsum Tim Har" soon. Ai! But I heard my mum say that she's lost weight.
Hi Bento Pet! I love your smiley faced egg - your bento boxes are the best =) I love Bento lunches but never thought of packing one everyday! Gotta learn for the future LOL
kittycat: You make me blush!! There are so many bento 'guru's' out there and I'm just growing with my daily bento escapades.
Glad you dropped by, please come again and if you have any questions, just shoot!
I noticed a cute shoyu bottle in the Bento box.
Wah, so many things to be careful...my head is cramped already. :)
judy: the shoyu containers come in all shapes, colors and sizes depending on requirement. The ones I have are the simplest in the market.
A lot of do's and don't right? After a while, it becomes second nature and works like a clockwork. Look at Bento #30, I finished in less than 30 mins!
"Tsum Tim Har" ... apparently she has some kind of cancer ler...=.="
ling: Ohh...didn't know that. So sad!
whiskyrs: And I appreciate that you take time to share your thoughts.
You have a great site yourself. It's a lot of information you've gathered. It's more fun to share because we learn from each other's experience.
aiyooooo the cute is toooo cute! egg open mouth like that, hahah!
G @ mommibee.com: Not my original idea, unfortunately. Saw it during one of my surfing 'adventures'! Makes up for me not owning an egg mold!!
The Happy Egg makes me smile. ^_^
christine: the egg molds are even nicer. You can get them at Daiso. A dollar for two!
