I am inspired by what the Japanese government is doing to improve the health of it's people through healthy eating. If you read my last post you would find that in their initial attempt, they have taken an unprecedented step to advocate and introduce a healthy diet in schools. Can you imagine, in one month they don't serve the same menu? Amazing! They have nutritionists to draw up a healthy menu and yet variety is their priority.
This morning's bento box contains "Vegeroni Spirals" tossed in garlic oil. Next to it are some skewered fish balls and tomatoes. On it's right are cheese and salad sandwiches. I topped the salad with freshly crushed black pepper for extra flavoring. Next to the sandwiches is a box of white sauce for the pasta, cooked with cheese and salmon bits.
In the middle is a fruit box. Guess what fruit? On it's left is a bottle of 'leong cha' (Loh Hon Koh).

A very healthy meal..
Just curious what is the food with apple shape ? Is apple ?? Wah, you really take times to do that ??
keeyit: Hehehe! Yes they are apples! Actually, it's very easy, just use an apple shaped cookie cutter. I didn't core the apple because I wanted the seeds to appear in the middle like a 'real' apple!
Thanks for commenting. Appreciate it!!
the apple-shaped apples are so cute !! but wont they ended up eating the seeds instead ? @_@
ling239: I hope not! *laughs* The seeds are few and on the surface of the apples. It's just for the novelty of it!
this is the first time I've seen apples cut in the shape of an apple (hmm.. does that make sense?) and love it sooo much.. makes me feel like having an apple now :-)
sting: Ha! A canvas is at the mercy of it's artist and his brush and so... fruits and vegetables are at the mercy of it's bento packer and her cookie cutters!! Hahaha!!!

The way I read the comments, I assume there should be a photo with this post?

suesue: Thank you! The cutters were free gifts from Kelloggs which they gave out many years ago.
You can see the plastic, yellow, apple shape cutter in my Bento collection posted up on October 15 under 'Spring cleaning'.
